A puncture kit is only useful if it matches the tube in the bike. Standard butyl, lightweight TPU and latex tubes do not all accept the same patches. Tubeless tyre repair is a different job again. Start by identifying the tyre and tube system, then buy the repair supplies rather than choosing the biggest bundle.
For a commuter, patches belong in a small system: a compatible pump, suitable tyre levers, the tools needed to remove the wheel and usually a spare tube. A patch box alone cannot get the wheel off or reinflate the tyre. Compare a compact temporary patch kit with a fluid-based repair kit, then add the separate three-lever set if your tyre and rim instructions permit it. The levers remove the tyre; they do not replace patches, a spare tube or a pump.
