What the site covers
RideIn focuses on choosing an everyday bike, cycling to work, carrying things, riding in UK weather, keeping a bicycle secure and handling basic maintenance. It is not a racing results site or a catalogue of every new product.
Why the site was rebuilt
The original site grew from articles first published in the early 2010s. Some substantial guides remained useful, but they sat beside expired offers, discontinued products and maintenance pages containing little more than an embedded video. The rebuild preserves established URL paths, consolidates obsolete material and expands topics where a short answer was not enough.
What independence means here
RideIn does not present archived reviews as current testing. Product round-ups are not automatically updated by changing a year in the headline. Where guidance depends on UK rules or schemes, the article links to a primary source so readers can verify the current position.
