Choosing for your commute
A mini pump earns its place by being available when a tyre goes flat. The key question is whether it connects securely to your valves and can refill your actual tyres with an effort you are prepared to make. A high maximum-pressure number alone does not tell you how many strokes a large commuter tyre will require.
Choose the pump around your repair kit and storage. A longer frame-mounted model can be convenient when pocket space is limited; a short hose-equipped pump may fit better inside a bag. Neither is automatically a substitute for a floor pump with a gauge at home. Before relying on a new mini pump, practise connecting it to the bike and check that any bracket clears bottles, cables and the moving parts of the bicycle.

Should I inflate my tyres to the pump's maximum pressure?
No. Use an appropriate pressure for your tyre, rim, load and riding conditions, within the manufacturers' limits. The pump rating is its capacity, not a target.
Can a mini pump seat a tubeless tyre?
Do not assume it can. These are portable inflation pumps; seating an unseated tubeless bead may need a different inflator or workshop setup.
