How to check an e-bike
Match the brand, exact model, charger model, battery identifier, plug and any product-carton codes shown in the government report. Similar-looking bikes can use different electrical systems, while the same model name can appear with more than one charger.
- Stop charging a battery that is damaged, swollen, leaking, unusually hot or making unusual noise.
- Use only the charger approved for that exact battery.
- Do not charge in an escape route or while asleep.
- Follow the corrective action in the official report and contact the seller where the product matches.
What this index does not claim
The table is curated for e-bike relevance and is not the whole OPSS database. It does not establish that an unlisted product is safe, that every unit with a similar name is affected, or that a rejected import was sold in the UK. The linked government record is controlling.
