Montane currently lists the Men's Featherlite Windproof Jacket as a packable protective layer. Wind resistance and low packed bulk are its purpose; it is not described as a substitute for a fully waterproof cycling jacket.

Cyclists should verify rear coverage, sleeve length, pocket access and visibility in a riding position. A general active fit can behave differently from a dedicated dropped-tail cycle shell.
